The Queen of Filth
I’ve been living in fairytale land since I was tiny… it was only as I got older that fairytale land started involving extremely filthy fantasies. A lot of which came true to life.

I’m as dirty as you’d expect from my novels. That’s no secret. I’m more than happy to talk about dirty sex wherever I go. In fact, I used to do it nightly as a chatline operator. I loved that job.

But not as much as I love my current one.

My first novel, Dirty Bad Wrong, flew into the Amazon US top 100 on release – which was beyond anything I’d have ever expected. I’d say that was at least partly down to the fact that I practice what I preach. I sure know what a cane feels like, and I know what it’s like to be in a ‘wet room’.

Sorry if you’re reading this, Nan.
I get obsessed with my characters to the point of no return. I’ve got many tales to tell on that score, but they aren’t for an ‘about me’ section on a website. Ask me in person, if you ever meet me.

So, outside of living in filthy fairytale land and putting my fingers to the keyboard, I like eating cake, watching gameshows, and wearing black velvet. I was always a weird child, who grew into a goth teenager and never left that behind.

I am a cackle-laugher, and love getting the giggles until my cheeks hurt. It happens easily.
On a more serious note, I love pondering the meaning of life, studying Jungian psychology, tarot, astrology, visualisation and the law of attraction.

I love full moons, waves in the darkness and the sand between my toes.

I'm a Reiki practitioner with a massive crystal collection, and I throw my I Ching coins quite regularly. Plus, I always salute a magpie when I see one.
Outside of being a filthy minded fantasist, who loves pondering the mysteries, I’m epileptic, diagnosed in 2019 after the death of my long-term partner, Jon.

Neither of these two things have been easy to adjust to, or to live with. I know they say that time is a healer, but I’d say more of a coper and a hoper.

I’m very lucky to have a great support network around me. I wouldn’t have come anywhere near this far without them.
I’m very lucky to have such an incredible community of authors, readers and smut lovers around me, too.
The romance world is one hell of a heaven – filled with devils, demons, morally grey heroes, villains, stepbrothers, boys next door, and everything you could ever imagine.

One other major thing about me is that I love being a reader as well as a writer. That will never change.

I’ll be a just one more chapter kind of girl for the rest of my days.

Love,
